What a great collaboration! Bluegrass Chic designed a reception table for a Southern tea and Two Sweets Bake Shop designed an accompanying bourbon bar-inspired dessert buffet.  So many elements enhanced the Southern equestrian style, including vintage china, lace details, an abundance of flowers, and (of course) a horse motif!  Thanks to Allan Jay Images for capturing the look so beautifully!

Our paper goods featured horseshoe and wildflower artwork to bring the South into our work. We used earth tones to keep the look classic, such as deep green, sage, burgundy and goldenrod. The menus were layered onto pale metallic gold stock and accented by an emblem with the couple’s monogram surrounded by a golden yellow horseshoe with burgundy flowers. We also made a sign to welcome guests to the celebration, which used the same artwork as the menu but included the written theme of the day: “Tea for Two, and Two for Tea.”

On the table, we carried the traditional Southern design elements to several accent pieces. Guests knew that they were in the correct seat by our unique place cards: teabag tags printed with their names! Also at each place setting was a favor of jarred lemon curd, for which we made circular tags with the wildflower artwork. For a fun touch, each guest also had access to a bell with our tag that read, “Ring for Kisses!” Both the favor tags and the bell tags were tied with a silky sage green ribbon to coordinate with the color palette.

The dessert buffet by Two Sweets Bake Shop featured our sign announcing that the buffet would open after brunch. This time, we chose to accent the sign with the couple’s full monogram flanked by wildflowers instead of using the horseshoe and single letter monogram. Be assured–the dessert table had plenty of horses! We created signage for each sweet treat that had sophisticated horse artwork at the top. Plus, the table was styled with horse statues and riding paraphernalia intermingled with the candy and cupcakes.
