{Real Wedding} Kerry and Steve's Skull and Roses Wedding

Kerry and Steve had a wedding that was perfectly them – skulls and roses in scarlet, black, and champagne. Not a second went by without full-hearted smiles and encores of laughter from guests and vendors alike. But don’t take our word for it, get in on all of the excitement with these amazing pictures capturing every moment!

We firmly believe that your wedding should be about you: your love story, your personality, your style.  Kerry and Steve really exemplified this idea, and we had a blast helping bring the idea to life for such an amazing couple.  Every paper good, from their save-the-date and wedding invitations to their table numbers and signage, was designed with couple’s bold spirit in mind.

KerrySteve.jpg

Kerry and Steve’s wedding invitation used a bright red pocket folder printed with roses and their monogram.  Inside, their invitation wording was inset against a layer of calligraphic scrollwork, which made their slightly gothic invitation very elegant and striking.

KerryandSteve_Skulls and Rosses_DBS_ring bearer

During the ceremony, the handsome ring bearer waltzed down the aisle with rings in one hand and our custom sign in the other. The black and red print popped against the pearlized champagne background. Of course, the clever little ring bearer knew the sign could double as a face mask. (Love that photo!)

The ballroom at Buena Vista Palace was grand and elegant. Sleek black table linens accompanied by splashes of red accented the strikingly crafted black and white details on the walls and ceiling. Guests were encouraged to find their seats with custom-wrapped sweets. Every chocolate bar was wrapped with a coordinating wrapper that contained their name and seating assignment.  We alternated red and black foil for a color pop.

{Real Wedding} Amanda & Joe's Classic Botanical Wedding

The Country Club of Orlando was buzzing with excitement on Amanda and Joe’s fun-filled wedding day. Between the rockin’ music from The Blues Factor Band, the cheerful hues of the décor, and the loving smiles on the couple’s faces, every inch of the room was bursting with pure delight. Every eye-catching color and whimsical touch was tied together by the experts at Michele Butler Events. Claire Pacelli Photography captured theses stunning photos, while Eric Horner Films crafted a beautiful video for the couple to look back on for years to come.

Inspired by the beautiful Audubon-style florals, birds, and insects, the invitations were designed to be timeless and romantic. If invitations could grow in a garden, they would most likely look something like this!

Walking into the reception was like entering a garden in full bloom. The floral arrangements by Lee Forrest Design were nothing short of stunning. Swirls of deep violet, orange, peach, and pink flowers danced around the room adorned with beautiful butterflies. Bright and shimmering crystals added that extra sparkle to every eye. The bride and groom even included a form of entertainment for the little guests at the grand affair.

We especially loved this very personal touch – lovely memorial cards to remember Amanda’s mom and Joe’s parents, along with a display of framed photos. The vintage floral design was even carried onto the dinner and hors d’oeurves menus.

{Real Wedding} Toshia and Jason's Warm Winter Wedding

Rosen Shingle Creek, Rhodes Studios, Dogwood Blossom Stationery, Bouquet

Toshia and Jason’s wedding was inspired by the warmth that comes along with the chilly winter months. Anna Christine Events planned this Rosen Shingle Creek wedding; we love how this wedding was styled to reflect a “warm and cozy” winter rather than a winter wonderland filled with snowy crystal details. The interior of Rosen Shingle Creek almost felt like a wooden lodge! A special thanks goes to Rhodes Studios for the beautiful images.

The tablscapes featured warm candles, setting the mood for the evening. Our escort cards were designed with images of fun aspects of the wintertime, like mittens, moose, snowflakes, sleds, and hot cocoa. We also created a custom mad-lib on the back of the dinner menus for Toshia and Jason’s guests to fill out as a custom keepsake for the bride and groom. We also made custom signs for the newlyweds’ chair backs to let everyone know that they belong to each other!

We couldn’t help but reminisce when we stumbled upon some photographs from the Cypress Grove Networker event in August of 2013, and we’re so excited to share them with you! The event was designed and produced by Tamuel Cowart and her hardworking team of planners at RW Events. We used burlap, plum jewel tones, light yellow chevron, and floral illustrations in our stationery for this event. The menus looked superb in this dining area, which was overflowing with sunflowers and greenery. Florists for this event included Windermere Flowers, Greenery Production, and Raining Roses. Brandy & Beau Photography captured beautiful images.

{Real Wedding} Kellee and Derek’s Blue and White Country Club Chic Wedding

Weber Photography, TPC Sawgrass, Bay Bouquet, Dogwood Blossom1

Kellee and Derek married in July of 2012. The romantic atmosphere of TPC Sawgrass added to this traditional wedding, which had some amazing custom touches. Kellee wore separate bridal looks for the ceremony and reception, including a change of hair and jewelry! Her gowns from Priscilla of Boston and Martina Liana, Lace Mary Jane by Jimmy Choo shoes, and gorgeous make up by Maureen Riley made this beautiful bride into a show-stopper. Weber Photography captured the magical moments seen here, and Maverick Entertainment crafted a film for the couple to enjoy for years to come.

The elegance of our creamy white and navy blue invitations and paper goods added to the wedding’s country club chic styling. Alexa Pulitzer designed the cipher, which featured two intertwined “M”s to symbolize the union of their families. The couple used this personal detail to connect all of the paper goods.

We designed their wedding invitation using textured warm white papers and pearlized midnight blue. Kellee and Derek chose a custom-printed folder with an enclosure band inside containing their custom cipher and their names.  To surprise guests with a truly personal touch, we printed a fish tail on the back of the invitation that represented varying aspects of the couple’s love story, from their religious roots to the groom’s favorite pasttime.  This “surprise element” fish tail was reflected again on the back of the programs and table numbers.  Even their wedding cake had a surprise fish tail on the back!

Our charming banner-style aisle sign reserved the aisle for the bridal party, and guests were greeted at the ceremony by our sign that asked guests to “choose a seat, not a side.”

Bay Bouquet organized a neutral-toned reception, decorating the room in soft tans, mahogany chiavari chairs, gold accents and soft yellow lighting. Their white flowers with pops of pink and blue were the centerpiece of every table.

{Real Wedding} Julianne and Navin's Indian + American Wedding

It’s always great fun to design for couples we’ve never met before, but being asked to design for friends and family is the greatest honor!  I feel so fortunate to that I was asked to create the invitation and paper goods for the wedding of my beautiful sister-in-law, Julianne, and her groom, Navin, on July 6, 2013, in Boylston, Massachusetts.  To add to that exhilaration, this was a dual ceremony: Indian + American!

Both of the outdoor ceremonies and the reception were held at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. The invitation was a champagne pocket fold with a cream lace overlay, printed with light purple florals and leaf green accents. Something Borrowed Something New Events planned the wedding to perfection. With breathtaking photography by Matt Wood Photography and videography by Mavid Productions, Julianne and Navin will be able to look back on their day for years to come.

The Indian ceremony featured a beautiful mandap covered in gold, orange, and red draping.  So, for the Indian ceremony, we created a gold and red booklet-style program with hand-sewn binding, tied with a fluffy scarlet red satin ribbon.  The pages inside outlined the ceremony and described traditions so guests could follow along.  Special thanks to Navin’s aunt who was instrumental in providing the wording for the Indian program!

For reception seating, we created table cards that each contained a unique flower motif and name.  Every table number used a different color in the sky blue, mossy green, yellow, and lilac purple color scheme.  We then printed guests’ names on cards that reflected the names and motifs of the table numbers, and mounted them on mossy satin ribbon and cream-colored lace strung on a decorative ironwork gate as a colorful, dimensional seating chart.

For favors, Julianne and Navin chose to give candy tucked inside adorable mini picnic baskets, and the whole family joined in the assembly line to decorate these with lace, light green ribbon, and favor tags printed on kraft brown paper.  At each place-setting, we also placed a thank you to each guest for attending the wedding, designed to coordinate with the reception decor and add color and decoration to the tables.

{Real Wedding} Lake Nona Country Club: Faye and Greg

Faye and Greg, a couple from Coventry, England, love to travel and chose Orlando, Florida, for their destination wedding. Lake Nona Golf & Country Club’s plantation-style elegance and Florida’s palm trees and sunsets provided a magical atmosphere for the couple’s big day. NuVisions Photography photographed the event, and the talented staff at Blush by Brandee Gaar coordinated the wedding.

Covered in pastel table linens and glass vases crowned with roses and hydrangeas, the reception looked like a page from a fairy tale magazine. For dessert, the newly weds chose cupcakes with white, pink, and purple toppings, creating a colorful display.

nu visions, lake nona, dogwood blossoms, blush3

nu visions, lake nona, dogwood blossoms, blush4

Because this was a destination wedding, Faye and Greg wanted a romantic, vintage “airmail” themed invitation, so we used blush pinks, caramel, and chocolate browns on speckled white paper, and created a collection of custom “airmail” stamps that each reflected their love story.  The hand-sewn booklet had a passport-style feel, loaded with travel information, accommodations, and wedding activities.  For added personalization, each invitation was individually custom-printed with the guests’ names.

The reception papers reflected the couple’s elegant theme and passion for travel. Printed on creamy, speckled white and layered onto oatmeal-colored paper, the paper goods used various landmarks from around New York, including Ellis Island, Rockefeller Center, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., The Spice Market Restaurant, and Central Park. Every place was a destination for a vacation Faye and Greg took previously, during which Greg proposed to Faye. Obviously, she said yes! And we’re so glad she did!

We had the great pleasure of designing custom paper goods for Lauren and Jermaine’s wedding day! The Orlando-area wedding, held at The Royal Crest Room in September, featured a striking color combination of shimmery silver and bright royal blue. At each guest’s place, our truly unique menu cards were placed atop sparkling chargers by A Chair Affair. The guest’s name was printed on the personalized menu card to double as a place card. On the top right corner, we included a meal indicator icon to inform the servers of each guest’s dinner selections. A fun twist was on the reverse side of the menu: a wedding mad lib for the bride and groom to take as a keepsake.

The mixed font styles went along with the playful yet sophisticated mood of the candy buffet and coordinated with the other reception papers.

{Real Wedding} Jessica & Adam's wedding featured in Space Coast Bride & Groom mag!

So excited to share with you the big news of one of our newlywed couples, Jessica & Adam, having their wedding featured in Space Coast Bride & Groom magazine!  As you can see below, their October 22nd wedding was gorgeous!

Space Coast Bride & Groom MagazineSpace Coast Bride & Groom Magazine

Jessica and Adam chose a palette of pale gold, caramel, and ivory for their wedding invitation and paper goods.  Delicate lace and classic timelessness were major pieces of their vision, so we created a folding invitation (below) with an ivory lace overlay and satin ribbon.  We added a letterpress monogram to the front and a topaz crystal.  Inside, their invitation is letterpressed in caramel and enclosures are contained within a band.  A custom-designed scroll-and-flourish motif adorned all pieces of the invitation ensemble.  Breathtaking calligraphy by Grace Edmands Calligraphy put the final touches on this truly luxurious invitation.

Lace letterpress wedding invitation in ivory, gold, and caramel

We then carried the color scheme, design, and style from the invitation into their ceremony and reception papers.  Their wedding programs contained the same satin ribbon as was used on the invitation, and the menus, escort cards, and table cards contained coordinating motifs and scrollwork.

Thanks Jessica & Adam for letting Dogwood Blossom Stationery be a small part of your big day!  And congrats on having your wedding featured in Space Coast Bride & Groom!
