We were super excited to work with Lauren and Alex to create the stationery for their stunningly gorgeous black, white and gold wedding at the luxurious Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Blush by Brandee Gaar crafted a beautiful and personal affair with a fantastic team of wedding pros.

To keep with the elegant but preppy-chic vibe, we designed their stationery based on an inspiration Lauren provided, using a classic black- and white-striped pattern, framed with gold accents and featuring charming details like arrows and XO designs. The invitation was printed on ultra-heavy white stock with black on reverse printed with a gold XO motif. We used a black inner envelope with striped envelope liner and a white outer envelope addressed in black.

Guests were guided to their seats with the help of the seating chart designed by Chalk Shop Events. In collaboration for the display, we designed simple square white escort cards which Chalk Shop mounted on two large black boards. Thin white ribbon ran behind the cards, creating a striped effect.  We love participating in vendor collaborations like these!

Lauren had the idea to use adorable and super fun “cootie catchers” at the place settings.  There were four versions of questions and answers – all quirky facts about Lauren and Alex – so that a whole table of guests could join in the fun together. For dessert, Two Sweets Bake Shop created a brilliant milk and cookie display (!), with extra treats that were laid out on a buffet with a stunning 4-tiered white and black wedding cake with white floral accents created by Party Flavors Custom Cakes. In another fantastic vendor collaboration, we created the dessert buffet signage, which included a framed black and white striped sign with the couple’s names and black tent cards with striped border to label each delicious dessert.

Perhaps our favorite paper goods, though, were those created to welcome their out-of-town guests.  We assisted Lauren and Alex with their amazing welcome boxes – stuffed to the brim with goodies that were meaningful to them and/or just plain fun or delicious.  To the black gable boxes, we added a schedule of events, a “Do Not Disturb” door hanger and labels containing their custom monogram.

The Hons Photography captured every gorgeous detail, from the beautiful white floral centerpieces and accents by Lee James Floral Designs to the fun chalkboard photo backdrop and mirror table numbers provided by Chalk Shop Events.

We were honored to be a part of your amazing celebration, Lauren and Alex! Thanks for choosing to work with us to create your custom wedding stationery!

Amy and Brandon’s Bella Collina wedding, planned and designed by the amazing Blush by Brandee Gaar, was one where literally every single detail was thought of, and each and every one of their nearly 200 guests were treated to personal delights throughout the incredible night.  We worked very closely with the bride and her mom to develop ultra-memorable paper goods that would make each guest feel welcome.

Amy was inspired by her favorite movie, Ever After, and also wanted to invoke some of the baroque style of their venue, so we incorporated a regal theme when creating their custom wedding papers. We used caramel-colored baroque flourishes and custom monogram artwork for their unique folding wedding invitations, table numbers, chair signs and customized wedding passport. We also loved creating rose gold, stitched-side CD cases that were personalized with each guest’s name and inserted with liner notes and CDs with a compilation of important love songs for Amy and Brandon. These CD sleeves doubled as wedding favors and guests’ place cards (and secretly also had a role as a meal indicator icon so servers could serve the appropriate entree, too!). Our custom monogram was used in many aspects of this breathtaking wedding, even being printed on throw pillows and projected onto the reflection pool for cocktail hour.

Amy and Brandon’s custom wedding passport was our favorite paper for this wedding.  These passports were given to guests as they arrived to the venue, and were customized on every page for each individual guest for a truly personal keepsake that functioned as a guide to take them through the night.  On the cover, we printed the guest’s name.  Amy and Brandon wrote a personal note to every single wedding guest, which we printed on the inside cover of their passport.  On the following pages were the schedule of events, ceremony program, the guest’s table assignment and personalized menu.  How special would you feel receiving a passport like this as a guest at a wedding?!

Prior to the wedding, out-of-town guests were greeted with incredible welcome boxes filled with yummy treats and a Bloody Mary hangover kit.  We were happy to work with this couple to create packaging, welcome letters, and door hangers for those ultra-custom welcome boxes.

Concept Photography and Shutterlife Productions documented every timeless moment of this incredible event. The newlyweds sealed their vows with a kiss underneath a gorgeous pink and white floral arch, complete with a chandelier, designed by Lee James Floral Designs. As day turned into night, Amy, Brandon and their guests danced underneath floating chandeliers from Kaleidoscope Event Lighting to the musically talented live band, The Buzzcats.  The finishing touch to an enchanting evening was the gorgeous 6-tiered wedding cake with blush pink sugar flower accents created by Party Flavors Custom Cakes.

Thank you for choosing to work with us to design and create your custom wedding invitations and paper goods, Amy and Brandon! We had a blast designing and producing your custom stationery, and we wish you the happiest of happy ever afters!

Sarah and Steven topped all the past and future Valentine’s Days they would spend together this year. Why? Because this year, they tied the knot at the luxurious Grand Bohemian Hotel, of course! To complement their white and navy winter wedding theme, we created custom navy and rose gold pocket wedding invitations.  Their spectacular rose gold invitation folders were foil-stamped in navy foil on both the front cover and the pocket to create a truly sensational invitation.  For their walk down the aisle, we created a gorgeous aisle sign, complete with navy details and over 20 hand-placed Swarovski crystals to make it sparkle and shine. At the reception, we created coordinating day-of paper goods, including a navy seating chart, displayed in a mirrored frame by An Affair to Remember, and round custom pearlized blue menus, printed in white ink and personalized with each guest’s name and entree selection, then adorned with crystals. In a twist to their typical dessert table, Two Sweets Bake Shop delivered a selection of desserts to each table at the reception, accompanied by a small dessert menu to help guest navigate the individualized display.

An Affair to Remember transformed this incredible wedding into a white winter paradise while Tab McCausland Photography captured all the details. Gorgeous white floral arrangements and crystal trees from Atmospheres Floral & Décor decorated the ceremony and ballroom, with the center of the reception featuring a customized dance floor provided by That’s a Wrap!. The final touch to the newlywed’s winter retreat was the gorgeous 3-tiered wedding cake with pearl detailing and white and silver buttercream tiers designed by Party Flavors Custom Cakes.

We loved every moment we spent working with you, Sarah and Steven! We hope you adored your custom wedding papers as much as we had a blast creating them for you.  Thank you for choosing to work with Dogwood Blossom Stationery!

Stephanie and Mark’s wedding reception at Casa Feliz was a gorgeous affair with rustic charm meeting Middle Eastern influence.  When we first met Stephanie to start working on save-the-dates, she said she wanted simple but elegant, with textures, and possibly either lace or a Moroccan pattern.  She wanted to use colors that reflected the venue, Casa Feliz, so we went with a medium teal color to mimic the awnings of the historic home, and considered other colors like old, washed-out brick and clay colors.  After seeing all the custom samples, Stephanie opted for a save-the-date with a Moroccan-style lattice pattern, using a traditional layout and a custom wedding date logo.

Moving to the invitations, Stephanie and Mark chose to keep the wedding date logo and Moroccan pattern, but muted the blue color to a very faded and more green color.  This made their letterpress invitation much more formal.  We incorporated wide, scalloped white lace in their invitation ensemble.  The letterpress on this invitation was stunning, and gave so much texture to their wedding logo.

For day-of papers, we mixed the colors and styling of both the save-the-date and the invitations.  For the ceremony programs, we kept the muted colors of their invitation and designed a folding program with a heavy textured cover and white interior pages, tied with white grosgrain ribbon.  For menus, we mimicked the save-the-dates almost exactly, and went with the more vibrant teal to reflect the gorgeous colors at the reception.  For signage and the seating chart, we did the same, mixing papers, textures, and colors to provide a cohesive look from start to finish.

Blush by Brandee Gaar effortlessly brought Stephanie and Mark’s vision of a Moroccan oasis together with Andi Mans Photography expertly capturing every beautiful moment. The happy couple and their loved ones dined underneath a clear tent from Kirby Rentals on gorgeous rustic-style tables and chairs provided by A Chair Affair with beautiful pink and white floral centerpieces from Lee James Floral Designs. One of our favorite design elements of the evening was the stunning and delicious 3-tiered wedding cake with lace detailing and pale pink floral accents created by Party Flavors Custom Cakes.

We were so thrilled to create personalized custom stationery menus and table numbers for you, Stephanie and Mark!  It was so much fun working with you!

Dallin and Gideon had a beautiful, fun, and ultra-personal wedding at the Orlando Science Center.  They are a creative, fun-loving, and inspired couple who wanted to incorporate their personalities and common interests into their wedding, so we were super excited to get to work on their designs!  One of their favorite leisure activities is board games and gaming, so a lot of inspiration initially came from their favorite games; then for day-of papers we were able to incorporate a lot of other fun stuff from their life together, like their adorable pups, Loki and Samson.  Dallin and Gideon’s wedding was really quite amazing–a thoroughly unique venue that mixed a somewhat industrial concrete patio for the ceremony with thrilling and fun dinosaur relics at the reception, a choreographed swing dance for the couple’s first dance, sock and shoe changes between ceremony and reception, and tons of personal touches throughout.

Our invitations and paper goods featured a color palette of blues, teals, and pale green with a honeycomb pattern based loosely on a favorite game.  On the reverse, we used a hearthstone from the game World of Warcraft.  In the game, you choose a home location, and the hearthstone can be used to return you to that location…how spectacularly fitting for a wedding invitation! The invitation is printed on a sleek transparent sleeve that slides over a textured white pocket folder that contains the response enclosure and important wedding information.  The inside of the folder was custom-printed with their colorful pattern and we used a round nameplate with their monogram on the printed enclosure band that held their response enclosure.

We carried the honeycomb pattern and the clean and contemporary text style onto the menus and escort cards, and the couple’s monogram and styled names were used on several other key paper goods like the ceremony programs, a “guest book poster” for guests to sign, and a larger-than-life sign that was held in the mouth of T-Rex.

Lee Forrest Design did an amazing job creating florals for the ceremony and reception that fit Gideon and Dallin’s style perfectly.  They created a perfect setting for the escort card table in particular, by placing glass dishes filled with stones interspersed with masculine florals into which the escort cards were displayed.

For the first time ever, we coordinated with Party Flavors Custom Cakes to design a custom cake topper!  Their super-unique cake was designed with hexagonal tiers with a fondant pattern that coordinated with the honeycomb pattern of the paper goods.  We also created several signage pieces ranging from table numbers, cards and gifts signage, and dessert buffet tags for the spectacular dessert buffet by Two Sweets Bake Shop.

Gideon and Dallin put so much attention into the details of their wedding, and we were thrilled to be part of their wedding!  We love working with couples who want super-unique paper goods that fully express their personalities and style.  For us, this will be a wedding and a couple to remember for a long, long time.  Thank you, Gideon and Dallin, for choosing to work with Dogwood Blossom Stationery!

“We hired Denise with Dogwood Blossom Stationery very early in the wedding planning process. It was the best decision we made. Denise came up with a modern and contemporary vision for our save-the-dates and invitations that ended up helping us style the wedding overall. As we are not very creative people ourselves, I cannot imagine what our wedding would have been like had we not brought Denise on board early on. We used Denise with everything on paper: invitations, save-the-dates, thank-you cards, custom menus, various signs around the reception and ceremony, a guest sign-in poster, cake topper, programs. Everything was extremely well done, fully 100% customized, and truly made our wedding unique. Honestly, hiring a custom designer for paper goods is naturally going to be more expensive than buying things online. But what a world of difference it made—not just in the paper goods themselves, but in really tying everything together and making our wedding look like it was a professionally-designed event. In every category of vendor, we hired who we were told was the best in town. But out of all of them, Dogwood Blossom was truly the one we could not have done without.” [Gideon and Dallin, review from WeddingWire]

Back in February, we sponsored the monthly meeting for the Association of Bridal Consultants Central Florida by providing all of the paper goods. Held at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Winery in Winter Park, the evening had a rich, sophisticated look that was inspired by the colors of wine. Weddings in the City did a fantastic job coordinating all of the details for the team of local event professionals who contributed products and services to the meeting.

Errol Colon photographed all of our paper products so beautifully! We created two different die-cut menus, escort cards, place cards, table numbers, and the sponsor card. All of our paper goods used cream-colored stock and featured a floral motif of garden roses in a warm-toned palette of deep reds, plum, pink and orange. The text was printed in shimmering gold, including a foiled finish on the round menus, to coordinate with the mixed metal finishes of the rest of the event decor.

For the showcase table, we made a round menu that fit perfectly on the gold filigree chargers by A Chair Affair. The dinner tables featured our menus that were die-cut in a curving frame shape. Both menus used the colorful floral artwork (along the side for the round menu, and along the bottom of the curvy menu) and a modern calligraphy-style font. The curvy frame shape was continued with the simple table number cards, and a similar shape was used for the floral-filled place cards. Both the escort cards and the sponsor card were mounted on shimmery, deep red tent cards. The color and finish of the red stock matched perfectly with the wine-colored showcase linens provided by GBS Linens.

The rest of the decor for the event used a variety of finishes and textures for a layered, collected look. We love the mix of silver and gold pieces along with gleaming glass and natural bamboo on the table top. Atmospheres Floral & Decor created gorgeous topiary-like centerpieces for the showcase tables, and smaller floral arrangements with fiddle ferns and deep red roses for the dinner tables. The cake by Party Flavors Custom Cakes appeared to be covered with small Spanish tiles, and had a pop of contrasting color with the turquoise lace borders and cascade of deep blue sugar flowers.

We were honored to provide paper goods for this meeting, and other ABC meetings as well. Check out our Facebook page to see other examples of the work we can produce!

Elaine and Jeff married on Valentine’s Day at Mission Inn Resort, and the day could not have been more romantic! The theme of Elaine and Jeff’s wedding was “A Journey of Love,” an idea that came from the couple’s love of travel and their adventures together. We love the way that this theme was carried through each aspect of this special day, from the decor to the food and drink.  Rhodes Studios took so many beautiful photos that we had trouble choosing which ones to feature here!

Elaine and Jeff had the most personal wedding of any we’ve ever seen!  Every single element of their paper goods – from the invitation to table numbers to signage – carried a personal and meaningful story from their “journey of love.”  They met as coworkers, and as their relationship grew, their time was dotted with trips throughout the US, most notably to Vegas, Hawaii, and finally Alaska, where Jeff proposed to Elaine atop a glacier.

We loved that Carly Ane’s Floral Studio created centerpieces that coordinated with each table’s theme: tropical floral for Hawaii, soaring vases of blue-tinted water topped with white hydrangea for Alaska, and vases of floating candles full of blingy crystals for Las Vegas. Each centerpiece even featured fun figurines like hula girls, miniature bears and moose, and poker chips and dice. To top everything off, Party Flavors Custom Cakes made five (yes, FIVE!) unique cakes for Elaine and Jeff: a volcano, a gambler’s fantasy cake, a traditional wedding cake with pretty purple details, a representation of an Alaskan cruise (including a glacier on top), and a Notre Dame cake for the groom!

Jeff and Elaine had previously designed their own luggage tag save-the-date before we met with them.  So to continue in their style of travel-themed papers, they asked us to design a passport-style invitation–somewhat realistic in appearance, but using their purple and champagne color scheme (with tiny pops of red).  On the photo page of their passport, we used a photo from one of their cruises.  On the arrivals/departures pages, we created custom stamps of locations they had visited on their trips–volcanoes, glaciers, parks, casinos, and historical places–and then included “handwritten” memories and notes next to each stamp.  The stamp pages of their passport invitation were ultra-personal; it was as if they had invited their guests on the trips along with them and were reliving the fun.

We carried the watermark-style patterns from the passport into their day-of papers, wedding programs, and signage.  Our absolute favorite piece was a two-part “Here comes the Bride” sign that was tied onto the back of a custom princess carriage created to roll Elaine’s niece (the flower girl) down the aisle.  On their way to the reception, guests picked up their escort cards, attached to a key with a purple satin ribbon, and could match their assigned table by name AND corresponding photo of the couple at that location (“Kona,” “MGM Grand,” and “Fairbanks” were just a few).  These photos matched those on table cards.  To show that they wanted their guests to have a great time, Elaine and Jeff supplied flip-flops and silly dance floor props in baskets with our “Dance like no one’s watching” sign.  And rather than a typical guestbook, they had a custom garden bench made for all guests to sign, which they have now placed in their backyard.

This wedding truly had so many ultra-personal details, it would take a book to share them all.  For certain, Elaine and Jeff’s guests had a fabulous time and will remember this wedding forever!

Elaine gave us a great, 5-star review on WeddingWire! Here are a few of her impressions from working with us:

“Denise was superb!! Our wedding guests are still raving about her creativity and attention to detail from our passport invitations to our menus and signage throughout our venue. Denise was extremely responsive as we worked with her to create these unique items for our wedding. She was the utmost professional and it was obvious to us how passionate she is about her work. Because of Denise’s vision, we were able to pull together all the travel themes in our wedding (Hawaii, Las Vegas, Alaska) seamlessly. Thank you Denise for making our wedding day so special.”

Elaine and Jeff, thank you so much for choosing to work with Dogwood Blossom Stationery to create you custom invitations and paper goods!  It was a blast to work with you and an honor to help you share your “journey of love!”

Chris and Josh’s incredible wedding at Aloft Orlando Downtown was full of colorful celebration. Captured through the lens of Lauren Watai Photography, their special day included plenty of fun colors, happy family and friends, and lots and lots of dancing! We were so excited to create the invitations and paper goods for this sweet couple, who had traveled to upstate New York a couple weeks prior to their Orlando wedding celebration for their marriage license.

When I first met Chris and Josh, they told me they chose Aloft for its mid-century modern, “Mad Men” style, and they wanted their wedding style to reflect the style of the venue.  So I asked Chris and Josh to walk me through Aloft and show me some of the decor that thrilled them most.  In that meeting, we decided to use electric blue, magenta, and chartreuse, with an addition of a dark blue to balance the brights.  They loved the patterns and textures used throughout the venue as well – yellowed woods, charcoal wools, and colorful abstract shapes.  To reflect these elements, we kept the paper goods clean but modern, and incorporated contrasting textures into the layers of the invitation.

We printed their invitation on matte white and layered it onto wood veneer that had been custom-stained for them.  The backing was created with charcoal wool fabric to create thickness and texture.  Their invitation was created in a large A9 size to make the most of their textures, and it created a breathtaking and unique presentation.

For their day-of papers, we used their custom monogram from their invitation for a cohesive look. We created food and drink signs for the buffet and the bar, and favor tags on wooden sticks. Chris and Josh chose succulent plants in mini galvanized pots as their favors, and Greenery Productions styled their showstopping favor table.

The rest of the decor was equally bright and graphic. We loved the chevron-patterned cake dotted with succulents, by Party Flavors Custom Cakes, which coordinated perfectly with the chevron linens on the favor table. Greenery Productions‘ floral work included the grooms’ boldly colored boutonnieres and gorgeous ceremony flowers in vivid purple, blue, and green.

We were so honored to be a part of this beautiful and touching wedding! Thank you to these awesome vendors for helping to make Chris and Josh’s wedding dreams come true:

Dana and Justin’s Grand Bohemian Hotel wedding, planned by Weddings in the City, was classically glamorous and ultra-romantic.  The bride’s gown and chapel veil were absolute show stoppers! We gathered inspiration from Dana’s grace and the couple’s chic style when we created their invitation, escort cards, and table cards, and signage. Their nuptials, captured beautifully by Scott Craig Photography, seem absolutely timeless.

We created a folding invitation for Dana and Justin with a champagne exterior foiled in shiny gold and accented with light peach Swarovski crystals. The interior of the folder was blush pink printed with a light pink custom micro-floral pattern. Their invitation was die-cut and their enclosures were contained within a custom-printed enclosure band with die-cut monogram. Their escort cards were printed onto blush pink and accented with a single crystal to create a colorful, but still soft, display.

Dana chose table names based on Italian cities – the country of her heritage – which we then printed in an elegant script and die-cut into shape. We also created a number of signs for the couple to help carry their wedding branding throughout their event – we foiled their “Mr. and Mrs.” sweetheart table sign, created signature drink signs for the bar, and a guest book sign for their very special framed photograph guest book.

A huge thanks to the talented vendors who were a part of this special day:

Modern romance came alive at Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club in this stunning photo shoot by RW Events. The photos by Victoria Angela Photography came out absolutely beautifully and brought to life every detail from the shoot.

We designed the invitations, menus, and escort cards using a combination of modern serif and handwritten-style scripts done in gold foil on mint colored stock. The invitations featured a gold foil quatrefoil grid on the front of the folder and a glittery gold border around the inside. The menus were created in the popular round die-cut shape. We went took a simple approach to the escort cards, repeating the circular shape from the menus to create small disks with the important information for guests to find their seats.

Everything from the bouquet to the candlelit floral centerpieces by Flowers by Lesley felt simply elegant. Inside the golf club, mint green uplighting was used to accent and color to the reception room. Golden decor, from the chiavari chairs to the cake to the table accents, was tempered by the ivory linens and arrangements of white hydrangeas with cream-colored roses.

We were honored to be a part of this gorgeous shoot. Thank you to all the incredible event professionals who contributed their talents:
